“Say Cheese!” is what folks have been saying for years to make people smile, and smile is exactly what you’ll do when you walk into Cheesers on Main Street in Stoughton! You will discover over 130 cheeses, Door County coffee, chocolate, candy and jarred produce.
Then up the stairs and you’ll find a gem of a shop, Diakonos Designs, where Becky offers up a wide selection of original art, unique beads and Biblically-based jewelry designs. Becky and her staff are always happy to create that one-of-a-kind piece of Jewelry, or teach the skills to make your own.
Both shops specialize in the personal touch. At Cheesers, come in or shop from home on the web. Select a gift box prepackaged or customize with your recipient in mind. Wow your favorite uncle in Arizona with his favorite Garlic Brick and cow pies! As the holidays approach, Cheesers is famous for making eye-popping cheese trays. You choose the cheese and/or sausage, they make it gorgeous for your entertaining! They also have a reputation for clever ideas in business gift boxes, for your boss, your employees or clients.
At Diakonos Designs, dads can be seen with kids making jewelry for mom, with written words, like hope, faith, dream and love, surrounded with all her favorite colors! A group of women who are sharing a weekend, celebrate by creating special necklaces. Becky has partnered up with Lynn of Midnight Moon across Main Street, for a great, new jewelry designing competition fun night. Once a month, a BeDeFu (Bead Design Fun) is held on a Friday evening to enjoy socializing and refreshments. 
Both shop’s staff are on hand to help participants create amazing jewelry. Everyone gets the same $50 packet (for only $25) and the competition is on! No experience is necessary and it is just a ton of fun!
No matter the season, Peg who owns Cheesers, knows what you crave. From Babcock Hall ice cream on hot summer days, to hot spiced cider on a winter’s evening, you’ll always leave satisfied. All year round you can bite into super fresh, squeaky cheese curds direct from Wisconsin cheese masters! Quite often patrons will shop for cheese & treats, perhaps enjoy a bowl of soup or a yummy sandwich downstairs and then stroll up to browse around the jewelry, beads, art, ceramics, metal, greeting cards and so much more. The art is by local artists, so you may bump into one and enjoy a conversation while drinking the Door County Coffee flavor of the day!
